Quick Facts
The Story
Victor Bryan Kanyanga grew up in Likuyani Ward, near Mary Lusweti Secondary School — the same soil, the same roads, the same schools that every family in this constituency knows. He did not arrive here for a campaign. He comes from here.
After completing his education, Victor pursued a career at the intersection of finance and technology — qualifying as a Certified Public Accountant and going on to found Blist Business Solutions, a Nairobi-based firm that builds digital tools and financial management systems for small and medium businesses across Kenya. His work is built on a simple belief: that ordinary Kenyan businesses deserve the same quality of tools that large corporations take for granted.
That background — understanding how money works, how systems work, and how people who are not connected to power can still build something real — is exactly what he brings to this campaign.
Why He Is Running
Likuyani has had representation. It has not always had results. CDF funds have been allocated — but roads remain unfinished. Schools have been promised — but classrooms remain incomplete. Youth have been addressed at rallies — but employment remains scarce.
The pattern is not accidental. It is what happens when a representative owes their seat to a party headquarters in Nairobi rather than to the people who elected them. Victor is running as an independent because he owes nothing to any party — and everything to Likuyani.
"I am not a career politician. I have no party to answer to. I answer to Likuyani."
"Mimi si mwanasiasa wa kazi. Sina chama cha kujibu. Najibu kwa Likuyani."
— Victor Bryan Kanyanga
What He Brings
Financial Accountability
Uwajibikaji wa Fedha
As a CPA, Victor understands public finance, budgets, and accountability. He will scrutinise CDF allocations the way an auditor scrutinises accounts — line by line.
Kama CPA, Victor anaelewa fedha za umma, bajeti, na uwajibikaji. Atachunguza ugawaji wa CDF jinsi mkaguzi anavyochunguza hesabu — mstari kwa mstari.
Technology and Systems
Teknolojia na Mifumo
He builds systems for a living. Constituency service delivery — from bursary applications to CDF project tracking — can be systematised. He knows how.
Anajenga mifumo kwa maisha. Utoaji wa huduma za jimbo — kutoka maombi ya bursari hadi ufuatiliaji wa miradi ya CDF — unaweza kuwa na mfumo. Anajua jinsi gani.
Grassroots Understanding
Uelewa wa Msingi
He grew up here. He knows what a family in Sinoko Ward needs before election season — not just what they are told they need during a campaign.
Alikua hapa. Anajua familia katika Wadi ya Sinoko inahitaji nini kabla ya msimu wa uchaguzi — si tu wanachomwambiwa wanahitaji wakati wa kampeni.
Independence
Uhuru
No party whip. No coalition debt. No obligation to vote along lines set in Nairobi. Every decision in Parliament will be made with one question: is this good for Likuyani?
The Campaign Approach
This campaign does not begin with a manifesto. It begins with a question. The Njoni Tusemezane forums are visiting all five wards of Likuyani — not to deliver speeches, but to ask: what does your ward need? The answers will build the manifesto. The manifesto will build the campaign. The campaign will build Likuyani.
